Jelena Jankovic ousted in 4th round

NEW YORK - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic lest to Belinda Bencic from Switzerland 6(8)-6 6-3 in the 4th round of the US Open on Monday.

That match took two hours and the win made Bancic the second youngest quarterfinalist of in the history of the US Open, behind compatriot Martina Hingis, who was six months younger when she won the tournament back in 1997.

Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor also failed to reach the quarterfinals. They lost to US players Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram 6-3 6-4.

Earlier this week, Zimonjic and Germany's Julia Goerges were ousted in the first round in the mixed doubles category.
