Political Rating Agency exit poll: Victor Ponta 38.2 percent, Klaus Iohannis 32.1 percent

Incumbent Prime Minister Victor Ponta, the candidate of the Social Democrat Party-National Union for Romania's Progress-Conservative Party got 38.2 percent of the votes in the presidential election on Sunday; Christian Liberal Alliance's candidate Klaus Iohannis has 32.1 percent, according to an exit poll carried out by the and broadcasted by Realitatea TV.

Following according to this research are People's Movement Party chair Elena Udrea and independents Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and Monica Macovei with 6 percent each. Next come Hunor Kelemen of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania — 4.3 percent, Corneliu Vadim Tudor of the Greater Romania Party — 2.2 percent, Dan Diaconescu of the People's Party Dan Diaconescu (PP-DD) — 1.9 percent, and independent Teodor Melescanu — 1.3 percent.
