UDMR's Kelemen: UDMR will recommend ethnic Hungarians to vote in presidential runoff according to their beliefs
National leader of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) Kelemen Hunor, on Thursday said UDMR will recommend the ethnic Hungarian voters to vote according to their own beliefs in the November 16 presidential runoff election.
At a press conference in Cluj-Napoca, Kelemen mentioned among the arguments behind this decision a majority of the UDMR leadership being against endorsing Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL) candidate Klaus Iohannis, because Iohannis is not ready to discuss with UDMR.
Kelemen said Victor Ponta, the winner of the first round of the presidential election, was a trustful partners, but that UDMR cannot be in the same camp with the national leader of the nationalistic Greater Romania Party (PRM) Corneliu Vadim Tudor. AGERPRES
