President Iohannis decorates Holocaust survivors

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Friday the decree for the decoration of several Holocaust survivors.

According to a release of the Presidential Administration, 'to show the deep respect for the sufferance endured during World War II in the concentration camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau, wishing to keep alive the memory of the Holocaust ? a tragedy mankind must not know again,' the head of state bestowed the Order of Faithful Service in the rank of Knight upon Elizabeta Asztalos, Gabriela Bone, Viora Braun, Susana Diamantstein, Marta Marmor, Vasile Szekely and Etelca Tusa.

The decoration was proposed by presidential advisor Andrei Muraru.AGERPRES
