CoE: Serbia's Lubarda elected as ECtHR judge

STRASBOURG - Branko Lubarda, a professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, has been elected a judge of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) by a decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (CoE).

Lubarda teaches labour, international and social law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade.

The other two candidates from Serbia, Assistant Professor Branko Rodic from the same faculty and judge Spomenka Zaric from the Supreme Court of Cassation, did not receive the required number of votes late Wednesday.
