Dacic calls for prompt meeting in Minsk
MINSK - OSCE efforts aimed at calling a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group and pro-Russian activists from eastern Ukraine still have not produced results, and OSCE Chair and Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic pointed to the importance of the talks and called on all relevant sides to organise a meeting as soon as possible, states the release issued on Friday.
Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group Ambassador Heidi Tagliavini underscored that her representatives arrived in Minsk on Thursday morning and are ready for the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group and representatives of certain Donetsk and Luhansk areas, states the release issued by OSCE Chair Dacic and Ambassador Tagliavini.
Their efforts aimed at contacting the representatives were not successful, states the release issued by the OSCE chair, adding that Tagliavini and her representatives are ready for the meeting at any moment and are actively working towards this goal.
Dacic underscored the importance of organising such a meeting and reiterated the call for its prompt staging.
