Bulgaria's Ballet Arabesque Offers New Interpretation of Prokofiev's Cinderella
Ballet Arabesque will present an unconventional mix of dance and theatre in its newest show "Cinderella" based on the music by Prokofiev.
The plot of the ballet has been enriched by adding heroes from other favorite fairy tales.
Children will also have the opportunity to participate in the show as it includes interactive elements.
The performance deploys a new interpretation of the love between Cinderella and the Prince, with passion for art being the main thing that connects the two.
The theatrical element of the show makes it more understandable and more accessible.
The show is suitable not only for children but for all fans of modern ballet.
Mariana Krancheva is screenwriter and choreographer of the performance, the set design is by Ekaterina Eneva, and the costumes by Tsvetanka Petkova-Stoynova.
The show premieres on February 14, at 11 am, at the National Music Theatre in Sofia.
