Vucic: My goal is to preserve peace in Western Balkans

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with the Franco-German Youth Office Secretaries-General Beatrice Angrand and Marcus Ingenlath to speak about relations in the Western Balkan region Thursday.

My goal is to preserve peace in the territory of the Western Balkans, Prime Minister Vucic said, stressing that cooperation between young people could enhance economic and political relations in the region.

The representatives of the German-French youth organization said that they would do everything possible to help establish new structures of youth cooperation in the Balkans, the Serbian government's media relations office said in a release.

Based on experience from the relationship between Germany and France, we concluded that the essence of youth exchange is intercultural learning, stressed the secretaries-general.

Vucic and the youth organization's officials expressed willingness to work together in encouraging cooperation among young people in the region to ensure a better future for new generations, the release said.
