Landslide shuts down another road

BELGRADE -- A landslide that collapsed a significant amount of material onto the road has completely cut off the Nis-Pirot road in southern Serbia.

The landslide is located near Prosek.

The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Serbia (AMSS) said that traffic was being rerouted via Ploce this morning.

For security reasons railway traffic has been suspended as well, but the Prosek-Jelasnica-Ploce-Crvena Reka alternative route has been established, the MUP Emergency Situations Sector said.

Meanwhile, soil and rocks have been removed from the Ibarska regional road near Bogutovac and traffic was normalized for all vehicles at 02:40 CET on Tuesday, it has been announced.
