Filming of first Serbian-Indian co-production movie

BELGRADE - Famous Serbian producer and scriptwriter Goran Paskaljevic began filming his new, 17th movie entitled Dev Bhoomi (Land of Gods) at locations in the Himalayan Mountains.

Dev Bhoomi is the first movie to be filmed in Serbian-Indian co-production and Paskaljevic expressed the hope that his film will encourage other film directors and producers to engage in cooperation.

Film production was ensured by Nova Film from Belgrade, Zepter International, Gorvic Pictures LLP from Calcutta with the participation of Radio Television of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture of the Indian federal state of Uttarakhand.

The film stars famous Indian actor Victor Banerjee, while Geetanjali Thapais will play the main female role. Thapais was declared in 2014 as the best young actress in India, Paskaljevic told Tanjug.

The movie will be filmed in India by the end of March and post-production will be completed in Serbia by the end of November 2015.
