Lajovic fails to qualify for Bucharest ATP quarterfinal

BUCHAREST - Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic failed to qualify for the Bucharest ATP quarterfinal as he lost the Wednesday match to Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Lajovic started the match on the right foot and won the first set, but Rosol managed to take over the upper hand over the Serbian player in the continuation of the duel, evened out the score in the second set and finally won the match.

In the fight for a place in the semifinal, Rosol will cross rackets with the winner of the match between Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Cypriot player Marcos Baghdatis.

The prize fund of the Bucharest ATP totals EUR 440,000.
