OSCE wins award for contribution to EU integration

BELGRADE - The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is the winner of "Kaiser-Otto" in 2015, Mayor of Magdeburg Lutz Trümper announced on Sunday.

The OSCE received this award for its contribution to stability in Europe and neighbouring regions, as stated in the announcement.

The award, which is presented every second year for outstanding contribution to European integration, previously went to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, will receive the award at a ceremony in Magdeburg on September 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released.

The event will be attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, the statement reads.
