Two taxi drivers arrested for human trafficking

Two taxi drivers were arrested along with another two men on the Thessaloniki-Evzones national highway last Friday and charged with the illegal transfer of undocumented migrants after police located three vehicles, two taxis and a private car, carrying 16 migrants. Among the migrants, who were Syrian and Iraqi nationals, were five minors.

According to early reports, the suspects were expected to receive a larger amount of cash for the transfer.
