Hüseyin Müftüoğlu appointed as new Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Ambassador Hüseyin Müftüoğlu has been appointed as the new spokesperson of Turkey's Foreign Ministry, from his current position as chairman of the South-Eastern Europe Defense Ministerial - Coordination Committee (SEDM-CC).

Müftüoğlu replaced Tanju Bilgiç, who has been appointed as Turkey's new ambassador to Belgrade. 

Müftüoğlu previously served as Turkey's ambassador to Dakka between 2013 and 2015, and he was Turkey's Permanent Representative to the U.N. He earlier worked in the Cyprus department of the Foreign Ministry. 
He graduated from Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences and he has a postgraduate degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. 

Deputy intelligence undersecretary appointed as ambassador to Paris

National Intelligence Service Deputy Undersecretary İsmail Hakkı Musa has been appointed as Turkey's new ambassador to Paris, according to the Official Gazette published on Oct. 28. 

Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Ali Kemal Aydın, meanwhile, has been appointed as the new ambassador to the Turkish Embassy in Berlin. 

The Foreign Ministry recently accelerated its reshuffle of ambassadors following a brief halt after the July 15 coup attempt.
