Serbia candidate to host Basketball World Cup 2023

MIES - Serbia is one of 11 candidates to host the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, the FIBA website said.

Apart from Serbia, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Philippines, Poland, Russia and Turkey also made their bids.

FIBA announced that a multiple hosting option is being made available for MundoBasket as it considers EuroBasket 2015 to have been very successful.

Official bids presenting complete plans will be submitted at the beginning of next year and the FIBA Central Board will make the final decision in late 2017.
