Nikolic, Hofer discuss Serbian-Austrian cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Wednesday met with the Third President of the National Council of Austria, Norbert Hofer.

Nikolic stressed that Serbian-Austrian bilateral cooperation is very good and that it is important to additionally strengthen economic relations, the presidential press office said in a statement.

"I wish you much success in conducting the policy of strengthening your country within the EU and comprehensive cooperation," said Nikolic, adding that Serbia expects Austria's support in European integrations.

Hofer thanked Nikolic for the warm welcome and encouraging words, confirming Austria's commitment to the EU.

I am sure that the cooperation between Central Europe and Western Balkan countries can be a major contribution to the development of the EU as a whole, said Hofer.
