Gov't sets up commission to probe 2004 death of guardsmen

BELGRADE - The Serbian government on Thursday decided to set up a commission to assess the facts and circumstances related to the death of two Yugoslav Army guardsmen 12 years ago.

The commission is comprised of officials of the Ministry of Defence, the Military Security Agency, the Interior Ministry, the Security Information Agency, the High Public Prosecutor's Office and the Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime, as well as lawyers Predrag Savic, Aleksandar Djuric, Aleksandar Djordjevic and Olgica Batic, the government press office said in a statement.

The guardsmen, Dragan Jakovljevic and Drazen Milovanovic, were found dead in 2004 after a shooting at the Karas secret military facility in Belgrade.
