Nikolic still waiting for agreement with Vucic

BELGRADE - In his first statement since media reports about his candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections, incumbent Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said Thursday he was waiting for an agreement with PM Aleksandar Vucic.

"I am still waiting for an agreement with Aleksandar Vucic. Before that, I will not make any decision or place anyone before a fait accompli with my statements. That is my promise and I never break my word, although it is clear the Serbian Progressive Party is acting as if it had no time to wait for an agreement and the joint statement we had promised to the citizens. I am acting in this way because I love Serbia, not power," Nikolic told Kurir.
