Vucic single candidate for president from SNS; Nikolic: I will not seek a second term

BELGRADE - Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has become single candidate from the Serbian Progressive Party for the presidential election due in April, Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic has told reporters.

"Vucic, unanimously," the minister told reporters after a party session. Vucic himself has declined to answer the questions, saying he will make a statement later.

Relations between the state and the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) are good, PM Aleksandar Vucic and Patriarch Irinej have agreed.

The Serbian prime minister, who met with the head of the SPC on Friday in Belgrade, said afterwards that these relations are "not only fair, but also good," but added that "relations with other religious communities are also good."
