Migrants in Serbia increasingly consider seeking asylum

A sudden inflow of migrants is not expected in Serbia, while those who are already in the country are increasingly considering seeking asylum.

Tanjug reported this, citing the Asylum Protection Center NGO.

"Every day, there are 6,500-8,000 migrants in Serbia, including around 6,500 at reception centers - which are about full to capacity - while the others are in the streets," Asylum Protection Center Director Rados Djurovic said.

"These people do not wish to stay in Serbia, but those who have applied for asylum have difficulties obtaining it," Djurovic said.
