Unidentified vandals blow up another Athens bank ATM

Unidentified vandals blew up a bank ATM outside a supermarket in the Athens suburb of Dafni early on Monday morning.

According to police, the vandals probably ignited gas to blow open the device before fleeing with an unspecified sum of cash.

The incident occurred at 4.25 a.m. and caused significant damage to the façade of the supermarket but no injuries.

Police were seeking the perpetrators.
