Two More Years for the Mega Project of "Garanti-Koza" in Sofia
The two-year extension of the project for the Turkish company "Garanti-Koza" in the metropolitan quarter of Mladost was extended. This allows the deadline for the certificate of priority project given to the company in 2015 to be extended.
Its effect is for 3 years ie. expires in 2018. However, due to administrative delay, construction itself has also slowed down. The building permit has been in force since March last year.
The Grand Canyon-Sofia project envisages the construction of a mixed-use complex - residential, commercial, hotel, park with attractive lakes, skateboard park and outdoor playground. "The Grand Canyon Project has been designed to promote the metropolitan area of Mladost as a preferred place combining shopping, accommodation, recreation and living in the city," the press release said.
Garanti-Koza's investment has also been delayed due to the displeasure of neighborhood residents who do not want to have such a large and tall building there.
According to the building permit, the total built-up area of the complex will be about 92,000 square meters. Upon the commissioning of the complex, it is expected that 240 new jobs will be created with a total investment of BGN 120 mln.
