Partizan, Red Star draw 0-0 in Serbian football's Eternal Derby
BELGRADE - Partizan and Red Star drew 0-0 in Serbian football's 170th Eternal Derby in the second round of the Superliga playoffs on Wednesday evening.
The match at the Partizan stadium was played before empty stands due to a crowd ban handed to the Black-and-Whites, who missed what was perhaps the last opportunity to get back in contention for the second place in the league table, which would guarantee a slot in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Red Star goalkeeper Milan Borjan saved three point-blank shots from Fousseni Diabate in the first half and Bibras Natho and Nemanja Jovic in the second.
Osman Bukari missed the best chance for Red Star as he hit the post in the 86th minute and Aleksandar Katai also wasted a good opportunity late in the first half.
