Road closure after WWII bomb is found in Glyfada

A World War II bomb was found on Tuesday in the southern Athenian suburb of Glyfada. A controlled explosion is planned for Thursday leading to the temporary closure of Posidonos Avenue. 

The bomb was found during construction works at the old airport. Posidonos Avenue will be affected from 12.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on Thursday for setting off a controlled explosion that will neutralize ammunition.
