One dead, three injured in car accident in northern Greece

One man died and three others were injured when the car they were in veered off course and hit a gas station price sign on the Xanthi-Kavala highway in northern Greece, shortly after midnight on Friday.

Fire fighters pulled a 20-year-old passenger dead out of the wreckage while the 25-year-old driver and two other men were transferred to a hospital in Xanthi where they are being treated for unspecified injuries. 

The local traffic police unit is investigating the incident.
