Brnabic receives Cuban ambassador to Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic received Cuban Ambassador to Belgrade Leyde Ernesto Rodriguez Hernandez on Thursday.

Brnabic said Serbia-Cuba relations, established more than 120 years ago, were traditionally good and friendly, and noted a readiness to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

She highlighted parliamentary cooperation, affirmed by a protocol signed in 2015, an official statement said.

Noting the significance of boosting political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries, Brnabic announced the establishment of a Serbia-Cuba parliamentary friendship group.

Thanking Brnabic for the hospitality, the ambassador congratulated her on assuming her new post and presented to her a letter of congratulations from Cuban Parliament Speaker Esteban Hernandez and an invitation to a seminar on...
