Vucic: Gendarme who killed terrorist will be decorated, people have no reason for fear

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday a Serbian gendarme who killed a terrorist during Saturday's attack on the Israeli embassy in Belgrade would be decorated and noted that the people of Serbia had no reason for fear.

Acting in self-defence, Milos Jevremovic, 34, gunned down 25-year-old Milos Zujovic, an Islamic convert from Mladenovac near Belgrade who had moved to Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia.

A crossbow arrow fired by Zujovic struck Jevremovic in the neck.

Jevremovic is in hospital and making a good recovery.

In an appearance on Prva TV, Vucic congratulated Jevremovic on the "job well done" and said the gendarme would make a full return to duty in a few months' time.
