Vucic welcomes Israel's Herzog in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed Israeli President Isaac Herzog with the highest state honours outside the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on Wednesday.

The welcoming ceremony included a guard of honour and the playing of the national anthems of Israel and Serbia.

Herzog was also welcomed by Serbian government ministers Sinisa Mali, Marko Djuric, Dejan Ristic and Maja Popovic as well as the head of the Office for Information Technology, Mihailo Jovanovic.

The ceremony was followed by a tete-a-tete meeting of the two presidents.

A plenary meeting of Serbian and Israeli delegations headed by Vucic and Herzog will also be held as part of Herzog's official visit to Belgrade.

The two presidents will then speak to reporters and deliver keynote speeches at a round table discussion on synergy in innovation.
