Romanian man, 31, dies in workplace accident on Corfu

A 31-year-old man has died in a workplace accident on the island of Corfu.

According to the public broadcaster ERT, the victim, a Romanian national, fell from a lift on the fifth floor of a hotel during renovation work on Wednesday morning.

He was taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. 

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
