31-year-old to testify Friday after fingerprint found in Ambelokipi apartment

Nikos Romanos, a 31-year-old self-proclaimed anarchist, who was arrested by Greece's Counter-Terrorism Police on Monday while returning to his home in the northern Athens suburb of Neo Psychiko, has been granted time to testify on Friday in relation to the October 31 explosion at a third-floor apartment in the Ambelokipi neighborhood of central Athens. Authorities have attributed the blast to a suspected aspiring domestic extremist group.

Romanos' fingerprint was reportedly found on a bag containing a firearm and a magazine, which was recovered from the apartment.

At present, there is insufficient evidence directly linking Romanos to the apartment's residents. Since his fingerprint was found on a portable item, authorities are examining the degree of his potential involvement in the case.
