Greek deputy speaker attends Doha Forum, highlights cooperation with Qatar

The 22nd Doha Forum, held last weekend, was attended by the first deputy speaker of the Greek Parliament, Yiannis Plakiotakis, who held a series of meetings with senior state officials.

Plakiotakis even participated in the opening ceremony of the forum, which was attended by the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and other heads of state.

According to the announcement, during his stay in Doha, the Lasithi deputy held formal talks with his counterpart, vice president of the Shura Consultative Body, Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti.

Among other things, the situation in the Middle East and Gaza were discussed, with both sides emphasizing the need for an immediate ceasefire.
