Six accused in rape, torture case
Six Egyptian nationals accused by a 16-year-old compatriot of torturing and raping him at the Malakasa migrant facility last week were remanded in custody after appearing before an investigative magistrate on Monday.
All the accused, four adults and two minors, denied any involvement in the case, pointing to two other people.
According to state broadcaster ERT, the perpetrators tortured and sexually abused the victim.
The 16-year-old reported that they tied him up, gagged him, then whipped him with cables, and burned him on various parts of his body with a red-hot spoon. One of the perpetrators allegedly sexually abused him.
