Greece finalizes framework for data center licensing

The institutional framework for the licensing of data centers in Greece has been completed with the publication recently of a joint ministerial decision (JMD), the Development Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to a ministry statement, the JMD signed in December and a 2023 law set out the definition and regulations of the data centers, based on who they provide services to (third parties or privately) and what their capacity is.
