Digital NBS - Publications on EU presented

BELGRADE - The National Library of Serbia (NBS) presented on Thursday seven publications on the European Union within its collection titled "The Digital National Library of Serbia".

The promotion of the publications was organized in view of the signed memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, National Library of Serbia, and the EU Delegation.

World premiere of '1989' live in Belgrade

BELGRADE - The simultaneous premiere of film '1989' to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall will be held on November 5 in 20 European cities, including Belgrade, Free Zone film festival released on Thursday.

The screening is organised by the Copenhagen CPH:DOX festival which chose the international film festival Free Zone from Belgrade as one of the partners.

BELGRADE - On the occasion of 100 years since the beginning of World War I, the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade will stage an exhibition "War and poster: 1914-1918", which will be opened by November 6.

Posters were the only means of mass communication during the Great War, and they are a kind of historical documents.

Turkey’s Q3 Tourism Revenue Rises 11% Y/Y

Turkey's tourism revenue increased 11% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2014, reaching USD 12.85B, the Turkish Statistical Institute said on Thursday.

Foreign visitors contributed 81.8% of total tourism revenue, while the remainder was obtained from Turkish citizens living abroad.

Karim Salim's photography exhibition Eye of India to open

BELGRADE - A photography exhibition by Karim Salim, titled The Eye of India, will open on Sunday, November 2 at the Indian Cultural Centre in Belgrade.

The photos represent moments frozen in time during a one-month journey through India, the Indian Cultural Centre has said in a press release.
