Petkovic informs Petersson of situation in Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic met with the state secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eivind Vad Petersson, on Friday to inform him in detail of a deterioration of the security situation in the province as a result of Albin Kurti's unilateral and violent moves.

Ancient Greek altar unearthed at archaeological site in Sicily

An ancient Greek altar for family worship dating back more than 2,000 years has been found in the archaeological site of Segesta on the Italian island of Sicily, local authorities said on Friday.

The stock of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Slovenia amounted to €20.2 billion at the end of 2022, up by 7.6% compared over the year before, shows a report by the Bank of Slovenia.

Austria remained the largest investor and accounted for 22.7% of FDI at the end of last year, with investments primarily in manufacturing, trade, and maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.

Tourist visits in Serbia up by 8 pct y-o-y in May

BELGRADE - Serbia registered 8 pct more tourist visits in May 2023 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was up by 3.8 pct, according to figures released by the national statistical office on Frday.

Overnight stays generated by Serbian tourists were up by 1.2 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 7.5 pct y-o-y.

Dacic, Guenov discuss regional stability, Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met on Friday with a delegation headed by US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs Tressa Guenov.

The parties noted that maintaining regional stability in the Western Balkans was a matter the US and Serbia found extremely significant.
