4.2 magnitude quake strikes Amorgos island

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the Cycladic island of Amorgos on Friday morning. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

According to the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics, the epicenter of the 4.2 magnitude quake was located 23 km southeast of Arkesini, at a depth of 17 km.

Athens hotels raise rates 23%

Despite a slight lag in hotel occupancies in Athens and Attica compared to 2019, the nightly rate has increased by more than 20%, while revenue per available room has improved by 15%, at least in the first five months of this year, according to data released on Thursday by the Athens-Attica and Argosaronic Hotel Association (EXAA).
