Over the next 24 hours, we expect scattered cloudiness over most of the country, ranging from medium to high altitude. During the night, low clouds or fog will form in the valleys and plains, reducing visibility until noon. It will be calm during the night, while during the day, there will be light to moderate southeast winds and northeast winds in the Danubian Plain.

Three arrested for extortion over municipal contracts

Three men in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of blackmailing a businessman so he would not bid in a local government tender. 

The suspects are accused of torching the businessman's car and damaging his private property. They also face charges for an armed robbery.

Two police officers under scrutiny for online posting

Two police officers in Attica are accused of forgery and defamation related to an online posting of a fake order attributed to a senior police official, the Civil Protection Ministry said on Wednesday. 

The senior officer became aware of the online post and issued a complaint on Tuesday, after which the two officers voluntarily appeared before the Internal Affairs Department.
