German Defense Minister Advocates for Partial Return to Conscription

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is advocating for a partial revival of conscription, citing the pressing need to address the shortage of military personnel within the country. Pistorius emphasized that in the event of a shortfall in volunteer enlistment, there may be a requirement for elements of obligation to bolster recruitment numbers.

Parties troubled by abstention of young people

With the June 9 European elections looming, Greek political parties are concerned about the high rate of abstention of young people aged 17-30, after an analysis of the qualitative data of the postal vote. 

Indicatively, in the two major urban centers of Attica and Thessaloniki, a total of 59,468 voters have registered, of whom only about 10,000 are young people, less than 17%.

The bonds will underpin a new form of the concept of green and socially sustainable financing, which is important for environmental protection and social inclusion.

Eurozone Bound: Bulgaria Nears Inflation Goal, Finance Ministry Confirms

The Bulgarian Ministry of Finance projects that Bulgaria will satisfy the inflation criterion by the year's end, as per the ministry's models.
