Serbia to increase military sector spending by 25 percent
Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said this on Wednesday during a conference in the town of Arandjelovac.
When asked by reporters where most of that money will go to, Vulin replied, "toward improve the standard (of living), that is, the salaries of military employees, that will see a linear increase of ten percent."
Brussels agreement will not be renegotiated - Vulin
Vulin added that the Brussels agreement itself would not undergo any changes.
Vulin was visiting the town of Arandjelovac when he was asked by a journalist to comment on Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's statement that the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) - yet to be formed under the agreement - would be "a non-governmental organization."
Vucic: EU wants binding document for full EU membership
ARANDJELOVAC - The EU will not allow Serbia to become its full-fledged member without a legally binding document at the end of the process of normalising relations with Pristina, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday.
"You must conduct a normalisation of the situation, as they say," Vucic said.

ARANDJELOVAC - Deputy Head of the EU Delegation in Belgrade Oscar Benedict stated that the European Commission (EC) commended the government's economic steps in its latest annual report on Serbia's progress on its EU path, but it also noted that more courageous moves need to be implemented.
Mihajlovic: Budget revision must not endanger development
ARANDJELOVAC - The upcoming budget revision should take into account capital projects and investments that must not be endangered, Serbian Minister of Construction and Transport Zorana Mihajlovic said on Friday.
"There has to be a limit to budget cuts, and priorities must be made," Mihajlovic said at the NIN Fokus Regional Investment Summit, whose media partner is Tanjug.
Miletic: Problem with economy structural in nature
ARANDJELOVAC - The problem with the Serbian economy is mostly structural in nature as the manufacturing sector's share in the gross domestic product has been reduced, which resulted in a drop in the number of workers, Acting Director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Milivoje Miletic said on Friday, noting that the economy is also being plagued by poor productivity and competitiveness.

Recession this year, economic growth in early 2016
ARANDJELOVAC - The Serbian economy is likely to hit recession this year, but economic growth could be expected as early as in the first quarter of 2016 if next year is well used for spending cuts, Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic said in Arandjelovac on Friday.
