Kosovo Leaders Welcome First Afghan Refugees Fleeing Taliban
Refugees fleeing the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan were flown in to Pristina airport on Sunday evening, where they received medical check-ups before being sent onwards to the town of Ferizaj/ Urosevac.

Albania, Kosovo Keep ISIS Suspects Behind Bars
The Court of Serious Crimes in Tirana on Monday decided to keep in jail four Albanians suspected of terrorism, who have refused to be represented by lawyers.
It came after Albanian police on Saturday announced the results of a regional anti-terrorist police operation conducted in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, and said investigations are still continuing.

Kumanovo Detainees Say Macedonia Police Tortured Them
Relatives of the ethnic Albanian men held in Macedonian prisons in connection with the bloody shootout in Kumanovo a year ago are asking diplomats and foreign organisation to support their claim that the prisoners have been tortured.
Thousands Leave Kosovo Seeking Asylum in EU
The number of Kosovo Albanians trying to illegally enter the European Union is on the rise, with the Hungarian Police reporting that 880 people from Kosovo were arrested on Sunday and a total of around 4,400 in the period from Friday to Sunday.

Kosovo President Hails Round-up of Suspected Militants
The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, on Monday praised the country's police for rounding up 40 suspected Islamist militants, saying that “Kosovo will not be a shelter for extremism.”
“We will never allow our country to become a source of criminal and terrorist acts that threaten peace and stability,” she said.
