A most disappointing Greece suffered a 12-point loss to host Finland on Tuesday and is facing a must-win game against Poland on Wednesday.
Finland advanced to the next round winning 89-77 and making the most of a very poor Greek show for the first 33 minutes of the game in Helsinki.

Greek hoopsters enter Eurobasket with 29-point win over Iceland
A convincing second half was enough for Greece to start the 2017 Eurobasket with a 90-61 win over Iceland in Helsinki on Thursday.
Having to play the entire tournament without its biggest star, Yiannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks due to a knee injury, the Greeks relied on his brother Thanasis and on the Greek league's stars to overcome the first obstacle in the group stage.

Greece have opened their Group A matches for the 2017 Eurobasket championships in Helsinki, Finland with a comfortable 90-61 victory over Iceland. In the match played earlier in the first group Slovenia beat Poland 90-81. Greece are scheduled to face France on Saturday in their toughest match of group stage.
