Fierce attack - several explosions heard

The day after one of the largest Russian air strikes since the outbreak of the war in February, according to the Governor of the Kyiv area, Russia performed drone attack.
The warning by the city authorities of Kyiv was issued to the citizens slightly after two hours after midnight through their channel application telegram, while the sirens echoed throughout the city.

Sirens in Kyiv send Greek FM to shelter during meeting with counterpart

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias was taken to a shelter as the sirens sounded while he was meeting his counterpart, Dmitry Kuleba, at the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Greek Foreign Minister and the Greek delegation were safely taken to a shelter in the Ukrainian capital.

Ukraine in flames; "The missiles are coming"; Kyiv acknowledged

Early this morning, explosions also resounded in the hometown of the Ukrainian president, Kryvyi Rih, and local residents were warned that "missiles are coming".
Also, air raid sirens sounded this morning in more than half of Ukraine's regions: in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Odesa regions.

Russian ’kamikaze drones’ strike Kiev: Ukraine

Russian-launched "kamikaze drones" attacked Kiev early on Oct. 16, the Ukrainian presidency said, describing the strikes as an act of desperation nearly eight months into a war that has claimed thousands of lives.

Air raid sirens sounded in Kiev shortly before the first explosion at around 6:35 am (0335), followed by sirens across most of the country.

According to the first information, three powerful explosions caused by drones, most likely of Iranian production, were heard first. The explosions were heard consecutively around 6:35, 6:45 and 6:58 local time.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klitschko, announced around 7:30 a.m. that Kyiv had been attacked again.

Erdoğan to meet Putin in Astana: Turkish official

Türkiye on Oct. 11 called for a ceasefire in Ukraine ahead of a meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Kazakh capital Astana.

"A ceasefire must be established as soon as possible. The sooner the better," Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in an interview with the TVnet broadcaster.
