Vucic informs Russian ambassador of situation in Kosovo-Metohija
LOZNICA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he had met with Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko in Loznica, western Serbia, on Friday to inform him of the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and Pristina's daily provocations and threats to peace and stability.

LOZNICA - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday an ethnic Albanian terrorist who had killed one police officer and wounded another in Loznica, western Serbia, on Thursday had been shot dead by police in the nearby Banja Koviljaca area.

The Sabac-Loznica expressway is part of the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica highway construction project.
Vui pointed out that the road Ruma - abac will be ready by the end of September next year, which means that in a year and a half, the journey from Belgrade to abac will take maximum 45 minutes, and from Belgrade to Loznica - an hour and 10 minutes.

He also visited the construction site on the second section of the Ruma-Sabac highway and the Sabac-Loznica two-lane highway.

Serbia will be exposed to strong pressure
"We are open for talks. Thaci did all this with the help of the United States and will always ask to talk in their presence. Serbia will always talk, but all those measures that destroyed the possibility of free access to goods and capital must be removed. When that has been done, we will be ready to talk", Vucic pointed out.

President wants Rio Tinto to accelerate Serbia project
The Serbian president asked them to continue and accelerate the works, noting the project was hugely important for Serbia, Tanjug is reporting.
According to estimates, a large number of people could be working in western Serbia from 2024, when jadarite mining is expected to begin there, Vucic told reporters after the meeting.

More than 1,000 homes in Ljubovija are without electricity on Friday after more than 500 utility poles in the area collapsed under snow.
The mayor of this municipality in western Serbia, Milovan Kovacevic, told Tanjug that Ljubovija was in urgent need of assistance, and expected to receive it from the towns of Valjevo and Loznica.
