Bulgaria has the highest social risk in the European Union, according to the Social Resilience Index. It tracks 12 economic, social and political parametres in 185 countries around the world, said Allianz Trade, which produces the ranking.

The results of the study covered the period from early 2022 to September 2023.

Holidays in Greece and other southern European countries remain cheaper than rival summer destinations internationally, despite the fact that their costs have risen, with tourists preferring the region, Allianz Research noted in a report.

Therefore these countries remain the top choice for European travelers, it noted.
