Fresh Basket League wins for Greens and AEK
Panathinaikos and AEK extended their perfect records at the Basket League after tricky games for both of them during the weekend, while PAOK won the Thessaloniki derby against Aris.
Panathinaikos shook off its home loss on Friday to Zalgiris Kaunas for the Euroleague beating visiting Peristeri 76-57 on Sunday, as the Greens' coach Giorgos Vovoras beat his mentor, Argyris Pedoulakis.

Bruno Gama settles Thessaloniki derby for Aris
Aris beat crosstown rival PAOK in a bitter derby on Sunday to stay two points behind leader Olympiakos that trounced table-propping Lamia.
The Thessaloniki derbies always tend to be hard-fought, but this season the Aris vs PAOK encounter at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium had some added interest from the fact the two teams are among the Super League table's top-three.

Samos building whose partial collapse killed two teens demolished
A building whose partial collapse resulted in the deaths of two teenagers during the 7 magnitude earthquake that rattled the eastern Aegean island of Samos on October 30 was demolished on Friday by municipal bulldozers.
The two students, Klairi and Aris, had been walking past the building in Vathi when the earthquake struck, causing a wall to collapse and crush them.
Fortounis settles Derby of Eternal Rivals
Kostas Fortounis granted Olympiakos victory over Panathinaikos in the Derby of Eternal Rivals on Sunday, to keep the Reds at the top of the Super League table alongside Aris, that also keeps winning.

Two historic teams will be relegated from Basket League
The three teams that regularly took the top three spots in the Greek basketball league from the mid-80s to the mid-90s, i.e. Aris, PAOK and Panionios, are now at the very bottom of the Basket League table, though Aris showed some sings of life with a precious win on Saturday.
Basket League relegation battle heats up as Aris and PAOK win
The relegation battle in the Basket League was thrown wide open over the weekend, with six teams within one point at the foot of the table, out of which two will go down.
The home wins by struggling Thessaloniki rivals PAOK and Aris took them level on points with Kolossos and just one point behind Panionios, Iraklis and Larissa.
El-Arabi scores again as Olympiakos puts four past Aris
Olympiakos and PAOK scored comfortable home wins as they have turned the Super League into a two-horse race. Panathinaikos has climbed to fourth.
PAOK and Olympiakos stroll in Cup
PAOK and Olympiakos appear to have already clinched their tickets to the Greek Cup's quarterfinals after the midweek first-leg games, while Panathinaikos suffered another defeat, this time at Super League 2 leader PAS Giannina.
