Giaufret: Agreement concrete example of EU solidarity towards Serbia
BELGRADE - The head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret said on Tuesday a new financial agreement on EU support to Serbia's energy sector was a concrete example of EU solidarity that would help vulnerable families and entrepreneurs deal with the energy crisis.
Nearly EUR 1bn to be invested in wind farms in Serbia
These installations will supply nearly 200,000 households with "green energy." The overall value of the investments is nearly one billion euroes - making it one of the largest investments in Serbia, the daily Vecernje Novosti writes.
These wind farms will be built by investors from Abu Dhabi, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Trans-Balkan Electricity Corridor section put into operation
BELGRADE - A 68 km section of the Trans-Balkan Electricity Corridor was put into operation in Belgrade on Thursday by Serbia's power transmission system operator EMS at a ceremony attended by Serbian PM Ana Brnabic.
The 27 mln euro power transmission line - the first completed section of the Corridor - will connect Pancevo, northeastern Serbia, with Resita, western Romania.

EBRD interested in Telekom, airport, Dunav osiguranje
BELGRADE - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is interested in taking part in a privatisation of Telekom Srbija, the Belgrade airport and the Dunav osiguranje insurance company, EBRD Director for Serbia Matteo Patrone has said.
EBRD activities will depend on the Serbian government's decision on the future of these public companies, he said.
