Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said in Brussels that he was "very happy" that the agreement reached yesterday with European partners had been confirmed and that Bulgaria would have a postponement of the purchase of Russian oil.

Bulgaria’s Lukoil Neftochim will Stop Working without Russian Oil

"If the import of Russian oil to Bulgaria stops, the only oil refinery in Bulgaria, Lukoil Neftochim Burgas, will stop working." This was said by the Chairman of the Management Board of the company Ilshat Sharafutdinov. According to him, it is possible to seek oil imports from other countries, but this will take time.

CPC Sealed Office of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association

The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) sealed the office of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association, the commission announced. This happened after a sudden on-site inspection. It was undertaken in the course of proceedings to establish possible infringements of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union in setting the prices of bulk automotive fuels.
