Heavy fog led to a disruption of vessel traffic late on Nov. 6 in Turkey's Bosporus Strait.
The fog started to take effect on Nov. 5 evening, causing delays in air and sea traffic.
İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport has been closed to air traffic.

Istanbul's Bosphorus has been closed to all naval traffic early Jan. 7, due to a fog caused by heavy snowfall, the Directorate General of Coastal Safety said.
The passage from the Bosphorus from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea and vice versa have been cut as of 8:55 a.m. On Jan. 7, the statement said.
It did not say when the Bosphorus would be opened to traverse.

A strong Lodos wind in Istanbul caused a number of cancelations in flights and ferries in Istanbul on Jan. 12.
Turkish Airlines announced the cancelation of 63 flights on Jan. 12 and Jan. 13 due to the expected strong southwesterly Lodos wind at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.
