Dinos Karidis passed away on Sunday at the age of 85, with the news of his death being announced by Spyros Bibilas.

Missing Serres woman found dead
A 61-year-old woman from Serres that had been missing since July 30 was found dead on Friday. The body was located by a local near a stream in the area. Six firefighters and two vehicles retrieved the woman's body.
According to the Hellenic Police, there is no evidence of foul play in the death of the woman, who suffered from dementia.

Greek workforce is shrinking
Greek unemployment returned this May to the level of 10.8%, a similar rate to that of May 2004. The latest available Hellenic Statistical Authority data show that the number of unemployed in Greece was 506,000, while in May 2004 they had numbered 517,000, which is roughly on the same level.

PAOK puts holder Panathinaikos out of Cup
PAOK has eliminated holder Panathinaikos from the Greek Cup to advance to the semifinals of the competition, as have AEK, Olympiakos and Lamia.
Last season's finalist PAOK qualified on a 3-1 aggregate score. It beat Panathinaikos 2-0 last week in Thessaloniki and on Thursday it snatched a 1-1 draw in Athens despite finishing the game with 10 men.

New virus infections rise to 928, 405 remain intubated
The number of new SARS-CoV-2 infections climbed to 928 on Tuesday which brought the overall number to 141,453, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.
Thirty-one of the new cases were identified at the country's entry points.
