Erdoğan Demirören remembered on his death anniversary
Prominent Turkish industrialist and businessman Erdoğan Demirören, who was the founder of Demirören Holding, which is one of Türkiye's largest conglomerates, has been commemorated on the fifth anniversary of his death.
On June 8, 2018, Demirören lost his life in a hospital in Istanbul, where he received treatment for respiratory failure for a while at the age of 80.

Türkiye’s economy grows 4 percent in first quarter
Turkey's economy expanded more than expected at the start of the year, bolstered by pre-election spending and strong household consumption.

Exports fell 17 percent to $19.3 billion in April: Data
Exports declined by 17.1 percent in April from a year ago to $19.3 billion, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
Imports were down 4.8 percent last month compared with April 2022 to $28 billion.
The foreign trade deficit, consequently, widened 42.1 percent on an annual basis to $8.74 billion.

More natural gas exploration planned in Black Sea: Minister
Türkiye will conduct exploration activities for natural gas off the coast of the province of Ordu in the Black Sea, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.
Drilling in this area will begin by the end of 2023, Dönmez said in an interview with private broadcaster CNN Türk. "We are hoping to find natural gas there."
